    A Christmas Tale

    Post  sinister_midget on Mon Dec 18, 2017 9:06 pm

Mrs. Santa was in bed with the flu. The elves went on strike for more pay. The replacement elves were a lot slower and were way behind with the toy making.

Two of the reindeer were pregnant, two more were lame, another two had kicked down the fence and disappeared into the forest. To top it all off, Rudolph's nose had turned black.

While Santa was trying to figure what to do about this run of bad luck, he went outside to make sure the sleigh was ready. That's when he discovered one of the runners had come off and was nowhere to be found.

"What I need," thought Santa, "is a good strong cup of coffee." When he he went inside and opened the cupboard the jar fell out and broke, spilling coffee everywhere.

By now Santa was getting fed up. He went to fetch the broom to sweep up the mess. That's when he found the mice had chewed the bristles off.

At that moment there was a knock on the front door.

Upon opening it, Santa was confronted by a beautiful fairy holding a lovely Christmas tree.

"Good morning, Santa," she trilled. "Isn't it a perfectly gorgeous day? I have brought you this beautiful tree. Isn't it lovely? Where would you like me to stick it?"

And that is why we traditionally have a fairy sitting on top of the Christmas tree.
