Pale skinny dipper sparks panic when beach-goers mistake her naked body for a GHOST paddling in the ocean at night

A pale skinny dipper sparked panic when locals mistook her nude white body for a GHOST paddling in the sea.

Zhang Yan, 40, had been partying in Pattaya, Thailand, yesterday evening but went skinny dipping just before midnight.

The Chinese tourist spent an hour standing in the water before passers-by spotted her pale body standing still a few metres from the shore.

They thought she was a ghostly apparition but went closer and saw it was actually a nude woman behaving strangely.

Officers arrived at 1am and spent 30 minutes talking her onto dry land then gave her towels and took her to Pattaya City Police station for questioning.

Lt. Gen. Natithorn Ratanananan said: ”At 1:00 am on July 25, 2560, police officers Pattaya City Police received notification from the people that the foreign tourists are naked, walking naked on the beach. The incident occurred at Jomtien Beach.

‘’She caused a fright to people who thought she was a ghost then saw she was naked.

”Officials spent more than 30 minutes persuading the woman to surrender. Her communication was not fully understood so an interpreter was later used.

‘’The woman was drunk and was emotional but she gave no reason for her to be in the sea.”

She took off her clothes and went for a swim. How hard can that to be to figure out?

That's based on an odd calendar. I forget what it's called. I always called it Buddha Time.

It may be more common than I know. But the only place I ever saw it used was Thailand.
