    Urine trouble, Washington

    Urine trouble, Washington

Five months after the once-respected Jake Tapper and Carl Bernstein at CNN reported on a dodgy dossier about President Trump hiring hookers to whiz on a bed Obama slept in, we find out from whence that cockamamie collection of claptrap came.

    Camp Hillary.

That's correct. The billion-dollar loser hired a staff of weirdos who came up with this urinal joke.

    From the New York Post:

The Senate Judiciary Committee earlier this month threatened to subpoena the firm, Fusion GPS, after it refused to answer questions and provide records to the panel identifying who financed the error-ridden dossier, which was circulated during the election and has sparked much of the Russia scandal now engulfing the White House.

What is the company hiding? Fusion GPS describes itself as a “research and strategic intelligence firm” founded by “three former Wall Street Journal investigative reporters.” But congressional sources says it’s actually an opposition-research group for Democrats, and the founders, who are more political activists than journalists, have a pro-Hillary, anti-Trump agenda.

“These weren’t mercenaries or hired guns,” a congressional source familiar with the dossier probe said. “These guys had a vested personal and ideological interest in smearing Trump and boosting Hillary’s chances of winning the White House.”

Fusion GPS was on the payroll of an unidentified Democratic ally of Clinton when it hired a long-retired British spy to dig up dirt on Trump. In 2012, Democrats hired Fusion GPS to uncover dirt on GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney. And in 2015, Democrat ally Planned Parenthood retained Fusion GPS to investigate pro-life activists protesting the abortion group.

    Interesting.

Camp Hillary paid off former Wall Street Journal journos.

I wonder if Camp Hillary bought of some of these Fake Conservative writers, Fake Conservative think tanks, and Fake Conservative publications that live off donors.

Real Conservatives -- those who did not want Hillary to win -- are fighting back.

    From the Post:

The Senate Judiciary Committee is also investigating whether the FBI has wrongly relied on the anti-Trump dossier and its author, Christopher Steele — the old spy who was hired by Fusion GPS to build a Russia file on Trump — to aid its ongoing espionage investigation into the Trump campaign and its possible ties to Moscow.

The FBI received a copy of the Democrat-funded dossier in August, during the heat of the campaign, and is said to have contracted in October to pay Steele $50,000 to help corroborate the dirt on Trump — a relationship that “raises substantial questions about the independence” of the bureau in investigating Trump, warned Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa.

The election did not mark the end of the battle but its beginning.

The swamp is thick and tangled.

    But we shall prevail.

The fact is, take any ongoing scandal in Washington, and if you look just a bit to the left or right, there's a Clinton standing there (Bernie doesn't count since his scandal is actually in Vermont even though HE'S still a fraud in Washington).

Don't think Mrs. Bill Clinton is not directly tied to this even though it appears for the moment to just be somebody who backed her. This smacks of a Podesta-fueled act. If his fingerprints are on it, so are hers.

Can we just get on to the investigation of her criminal empire and put the lot of them away for good?

They think they can tinker around the edges and everybody will trust them.

    TOO LATE!

Three CNN Employees Resign Over Retracted Story on Russia Ties

Three CNN employees have handed in their resignations over a retracted story linking President Trump to Russia, the network announced Monday.

Thomas Frank, who wrote the story in question; Eric Lichtblau, an editor in the unit; and Lex Haris, who oversaw the unit, have all left CNN.

“In the aftermath of the retraction of a story published on CNN.com, CNN has accepted the resignation of the employees involved in the story’s publication,” a network spokesperson said in a statement Monday.

On Thursday, CNN investigative reporter Thomas Frank published a report involving an investigation of a Russian investment fund with possible ties to several Trump associates.

According to CNN, an internal investigation found that “some standard editorial processes were not followed when the article was published.”

And that's different from all of the other phony stories in what way?

Here are my terms, which may or may not be what it would take for others:

    • everybody resigns, 100% of the crew
    • the skeleton gets sold to somebody else
    • that somebody else commits to good old-fashioned reporting, then hires a crew who report: not editorialize, not assume things that are unknown, not speculate on what something may or may not mean, not connect dots that aren't connectable
    • balance the story by getting all sides whenever one side is given
    • do research, don't just take the word of anonymous sources who almost always have an agenda

Still not sure that would be enough. But it would be a start.

Do I think it'll happen? Not a chance.
