    Sorry, California. She's all yours.

Now that Joe Biden is no longer in DC office, Rep. Maxine Waters is turning out to be an adequate replacement when it comes to comments like this:

    Well isn’t that something“:

Waters said she is learning new words from young people.

“And I want you to know how pleased I am to know that I’m now “Aunt Maxine” on the internet, and the tweets that I’ve been in that are teaching me all kinds of new words,” she said.

Waters then said she was once a millennial.

“Our millennials are a force. I recognize it. And I was a millennial once,” she said. “No longer of course, but I love what you’re doing.”

She concluded her speech saying, “Stay woke!”

    Now that’s one hip ex-millennial!

How could she be a millennial...?  Maybe in her own mind, believing she was born between 1982 and 2000....She could possibly be 1000 years old...hmmmm

I'm plodding along towards being a centenarian someday - was taught to speak correct Webster's International English from the day I was born - and raised all of my children to use the same clearly defined words. Although I realize words sometimes gain new or additional meanings, and I do like to learn something new each day, sometimes it is difficult to converse with someone who just does not understand plain English language. Depending on the subject at hand, sometimes I chuckle to myself, other times I am truly saddened by their lack of verbal affluence. I say what I mean and mean what I say, just hope I'm not misunderstood by those of younger generations.
